170 Qatari female entrepreneurs at the Arab Women’s Exhibition

Mrs. Ibtihaj Al-Ahmedani, Member of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Chamber and President of the Qatari Businesswomen’s Forum, opened the Arab Women’s Exhibition, which is being held in its eleventh edition at the Qatar National Convention Center and continues until Thursday, October 10, 2024. The opening was attended by Mrs. Tamador Al-Marri, Director of Vogue Event Company, organizing the exhibition, as well as In the presence of an elite group of Qatari women and entrepreneurs.
The exhibition, which is held under the auspices of the Qatari Businesswomen Forum at the Qatar Chamber, includes about 200 local and international pavilions, in which about 170 Qatari businesswomen participate, in addition to a number of participants from countries in the region, where Qatari businesswomen present their latest projects and innovations in the field of fashion.

Mrs. Ibtihaj Al-Ahmadani toured the exhibition, during which she was briefed on the most prominent designs and products presented by Qatari female designers. She also listened to an explanation about the exhibits and the latest designs in the fields of fashion, accessories, and women’s supplies.
Al-Ahmadani said in her speech during the opening ceremony of the exhibition that Qatari women have achieved successes in various sectors as a real deserving of a long process of effort and work, noting the support and encouragement that Qatari women received from the wise leadership, which was translated into projects and ideas that started from Qatar and reached the international level.
Al-Ahmadani also thanked the Ministry of Social Development for its care for Qatari women, especially productive families, the fruits of which were the organization of the second edition of the Arab Exhibition for Productive Families in Doha, in cooperation with the League of Arab States and in coordination with the Union of Arab Chambers.
The head of the Qatari Businesswomen Forum at the Qatar Chamber called on businesswomen to join the forum in its new launch, as the forum is considered an umbrella for Qatari businesswomen and entrepreneurs to support and assist them in promoting their projects locally and abroad, thus contributing to activating their role in economic and commercial activity in the country.
For her part, Mrs. Tamader Al Marri said that the Arab Women’s Exhibition, over the course of ten previous editions, has witnessed a qualitative development in terms of exhibits, designs, and participating female designers, which is in the interest of Qatari female entrepreneurs and designers, as well as in the exhibition sector held in the country, which has become an important destination for exhibitions. And major events. Mrs. Tamador Al Marri explained that the exhibition includes, in its current session, accompanying activities, the most prominent of which is an awareness campaign for breast cancer prevention, in cooperation with the Qatar Cancer Society, noting that the month of October in which the exhibition is held is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and this occasion was used to hold a campaign. To raise awareness of this disease and prevent it during the exhibition. Mrs. Tamader Al Marri also pointed out the participation of the Ministry of Social Development and Family in the exhibition with the aim of supporting productive families and introducing the “From the Homeland” initiative, which supports national productive projects, noting that what is new in the Arab Women’s Exhibition for this session is also the participation of “Skill 7”, which is the first business incubator for fashion. And design in Qatar.
It is noteworthy that the exhibition opens its doors from Sunday to Thursday from ten in the morning until ten in the evening.
