Mr. Khalid Mubarak Al Kuwari, Director of Marketing and Communications at the Qatar Football Association, confirmed that the Qatari national team’s journey towards reaching the 2026 World Cup finals, hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, requires great public support, as the kick-off will be on September 5th, when they face the UAE national team at the Ahmed bin Ali World Cup Stadium.
Al Kuwari said in a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) that the attendance of the national team’s matches in recent participations was very distinctive, and efforts will continue to achieve a large audience attendance in the upcoming World Cup qualifiers. Tickets for the Al-Adham match against its Emirati counterpart will be offered soon through the link tickets.qfa.qa.
He stressed the importance of the fans’ role in providing support and assistance to the national team during its upcoming matches, as the fans are the main supporter of the 2023 Asian Cup champion in order to motivate the players and support them in the competition to snatch the ticket to the World Finals.
Al Kuwari added that the marketing and media campaign organized by the Qatar Federation is based on several objectives, and will be translated into plans, while working to renew the ideas that are presented continuously in a creative manner and to create content in a new and different style.
He stressed that the Qatar Football Association welcomes all youth initiatives in the field of football on an ongoing basis, in addition to its appreciation for the sponsors of the Qatari national team from various entities, companies and institutions, who are partners in success.
The Director of Marketing and Communications at the Qatar Football Association appreciated the effective role of the local media, which is a key partner in all football events inside and outside Qatar, through distinguished coverage and diligent follow-up of all activities.
At the end of his statements to QNA, Al Kuwari pointed out the continuation of efforts in the field of developing the Union’s community programs and working to enhance them.
It is worth noting that the draw for the third round of the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup placed the Qatari national team in Group One, alongside the national teams of Iran, Uzbekistan, the Emirates, Kyrgyzstan and North Korea.
The Qatari team will start its matches in the third stage by facing its Emirati counterpart in Doha on September 5, before visiting its North Korean counterpart in its virtual home, “Laos,” on the 10th of the same month, before returning to host its guest, the Kyrgyz national team, on October 10, then heading to Tehran to face its Iranian counterpart on the 15th of the same month, to host the Uzbek national team in Doha on November 14 at the end of the first leg.
Al-Adham will start the second leg by facing the host, the UAE, on November 19, before hosting its North Korean counterpart on March 20, 2025, then facing its Kyrgyz counterpart on the 25th of the same month, and returning to host the Iranian team on June 5, 2025, and concluding the third stage by meeting the Uzbek team in Tashkent on the 10th of the same month.
