Statistics of the General Authority of Civil Aviation revealed that the number of passengers at Hamad International Airport increased during the month of January, by 4.6 percent on an annual basis, compared to the same month of the year 2024, while aircraft movement recorded a slight decrease by 0.2 percent.
The General Authority of Civil Aviation stated in a publication through its official accounts on social media about air transport statistics during January 2025, that the movement of aircraft decreased to 23,936 air movement compared to 23,995 air movement in January of last year, adding that the number of passengers in turn increased to reach to reach Four million and 743 thousand passengers, compared to four million and 534 thousand passengers, 4.6% on an annual basis.
The authority also indicated that the freight and mail movement declined last January by 5.9 percent, as it recorded 190,018 tons compared to 201,965 in January 2024.
