In the context of the youth’s interest in Al -Wakra Sports Club in its societal role and work to spread awareness among the youth and its affiliates for this year 2025 and within the societal awareness, the agency organized an awareness and educational workshop on “the damage and dangers of drugs and its effects in society” within the activities of the summer camp “Summer South Castle” at Al -Wakra Sports Club, in cooperation with the Standing Committee for Drugs and Successors at the Ministry of Interior, which was held in the private sports hall The club. The lecture, presented by First Lieutenant Abdullah Saleh Al -Shammari and Dr. Abdul Salam Al -Hanash, an explanation and clarification of drug damages and their great impact on young people and society, by focusing on a number of points that have shown how to prevent them within the framework of specific advice, clarifying different types of drugs and how effective prevention of them, the most important of which is the distance from the friends of bad and caution from them in accordance with the generous prophetic guidance.
This workshop comes within the spread of positive values in society and confronting misconceptions through effective and useful communication with all groups of society, and to propose the proposal with the target group of young people to spread awareness, and to benefit all the participants, who praised such proposals to warn of this scourge and the relentless pursuit of the protection of society from it, and it was to ask many questions and answer them a great impact in the arrival of the goal of establishing the workshop to the attendees In educating young people and new generations of the danger and harm of drugs on the individual and society.
