Customs: 442 thousand customs statement was completed in June

The General Customs Authority announced that the number of customs data that was completed in the customs outlets during the month of June reached 442 thousand and 940 statement. The data, published by the authority through its official account with the “X” social media platform, indicated that the customs data completed last month were distributed among the maritime outlets by about 17 thousand and 572 statement, while the completed through the air freight port reached 408 thousand and 643 statement, while the wild shipping port recorded 16 thousand and 725 statement.
During the past period, the General Authority of Customs has achieved many achievements that come within the framework of its work related to securing the entry of goods and travelers and facilitating trade exchange with countries, and the authority continued its important role in implementing programs and projects, which varied between developing and strengthening human, technical and road aspects or at the level of cooperation between customs and between different parties inside and outside the country.
It is worth noting that the General Customs Authority has adopted its future plan several years ago depending on the state’s directions represented in the pillars and goals of the Qatar National Vision 2030, and the interim plans for the national development strategy, and in terms of the third national development strategy (2024 – 2030), as well as setting strategic goals and projects compatible with the national development strategy of the state.
The authority seeks to develop customs services to create a stimulating investment climate, and to facilitate trade exchange to ensure the increase in the flow of goods and goods to and from the state, as well as the effective contribution to the success of the state’s efforts to combat money laundering and raise the efficiency of controlling crimes of drug smuggling, harmful mental effects and dangerous materials. Among the most important projects of the strategic authority (2024 – 2030) are the projects of digital transformation in the customs sector with the “Al -Nadib” system to use artificial intelligence technologies, business intelligence, data management strategy projects, cybersecurity, in addition to institutional development projects such as the institutional performance management project, institutional risks, institutional excellence, etc., as well as its endeavor to upgrade the rank of Qatar in the global indicators and reports with global reports and reports with The relationship with logistical performance indicators, economic competitiveness, and the quality of customs services.
