His Excellency Dr. Sameh El -Hafni, Minister of Civil Aviation in the Arab Republic of Egypt, valued the joint cooperation between his country and the State of Qatar, and the great effort made by both countries, which culminated in the announcement of the launch of a joint technical cooperation project between the two sides with the aim of shortening air road paths within the Egyptian airspace, raising the efficiency of operation, providing fuel consumption, and reducing carbon emissions, in line with the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO ICAO), and in support of the sustainable development goals and common interests of the two countries.
His Excellency said, in statements to the Qatar News Agency, Qena, that the effort made by the two countries reflects the close cooperation between the civil aviation sectors in both Egypt and the State of Qatar, explaining that this effort resulted in the escape in the airspace, and that the numbers that were achieved not only reflects this savings in the money, but are evident in sustainability and reducing emissions, as it ensures that the Egyptian airspace is attractive in this matter.
He stressed that the initiative announced today to launch the second phase of the implementation of the Qatari initiative to shorten air roads in Egyptian airspace is a role model for all countries.
