The Qatar Railways Company, “Rail”, has announced the arrival of the total number of Trams of Lusail since the start of its operational operations in January 2022 to today, to more than 10 million passengers. This operational achievement comes to confirm the growth of the mass trust that the tram enjoys between the residents of the city of Lusail and its visitors, in addition to the importance of the role that it plays as an effective and reliable alternative to the transfer of individuals daily and during the occasions and events that are held in the city throughout the year and its success in providing transportation services with international specifications, ensuring a safe and reliable transport experience.
The Rail Company launched the tram network services in January 2022 by operating the first phase of a group of orange line stations, then in April 2024 the scope of the network services was expanded by starting the pink line and completing the operation of all the orange line stations, and recently at the beginning of this year the turquoise line was opened in January 2025, and the stations currently operating the main destinations in the city of Lusail such as the offices of government agencies and residential towers were opened Sports facilities, the Marina area and other destinations in the city, such as the Lusail Stadium, Darb Lusail, Mall Plus Vandum, Marina Walk, Al Maha Island, and Hilal Garden.
Support the success hosting system
Since the launch of its services, the Tram Lusail network has contributed to supporting the system of success to host and organize about 7 local and international events in the State of Qatar, most notably the World Cup Qatar Championship 2022 and the Asian Cup Qatar 2023 and the activities of the new year, and others.
The connection of the tram network with the Doha Metro network through the two switching stations of Qatifiya and Lucille QNB, also contributed to enhancing the integration of the two networks and providing an integrated and easy transportation experience that allowed customers to move between the two networks and reach the cities of Doha and Lucille and the main destinations in them. Without additional fees, flight cards allow passengers to travel between the two networks, as well as the use of accompanying services.

In terms of the main performance indicators, the total rate of customer satisfaction for tram services since its inception in January 2022 until now reached about 99.90%, while the total incidents rate recorded 0.00, which reflects the full commitment to the highest international standards in safety, and the network performance indicators recorded 99.18% in terms of regular service, 98.10% in the accuracy of appointments, and 99.67% of It provides service.
Al -Rail Company continued to cooperate with the partners in the Ministry of Transport and the Transportation Company (Crooh) to enhance the accompanying services (the first and last tunnels) of the tram network, especially the metabrice service, which contributes to enhancing the rates of use of tram services in daily transportation, by providing several access options that facilitate the movement of the movement to and from the network of stations. The range of the metaphresses service, which covers the tram network, is currently expanding 12 stations in orange and pink lines.
Environmental transportation systems
The Lucille Tram is an environmentally friendly transportation systems as it depends on the ground nutrition with electricity, the use of LED systems in lighting and advanced electrical brake systems. The tram system is also more integrated with the modern environment of traditional trains as it deals with better and smoother traffic obstacles than buses. The tram network operates daily from Saturday to Thursday from 5:00 am to 1:30 am, with the exception of Friday from 2:00 pm to 1:30 am.
