During the first six months of 2025, the number of visitors coming to Qatar by air reached one million and 510 thousand people, 57% of the total number of visitors, while 881 thousand visitors reached 33 percent of the total number of visitors and about 244 thousand visitors arrived by sea by 10% of the total.
Gulf visitors
According to Qatar Tourism Statistics at the end of June, the Cooperation Council countries are still the largest contributor to the number of international visitors to Qatar this year, from which more than 945 thousand visitors flocked, which represents 35.9% of the total visitors coming to the state.
On the level of visitors from other countries, the European continent ranked second with a number of visitors with about 679 thousand visitors (25.8%), and visitors from Asia countries ranked third with 574 thousand visitors (21.8%), while visitors from other Arab countries came fourth with 192 thousand visitors (7.3%), then visitors from the Americas with 179 thousand visitors (6.8%) in the fifth place, while visitors to the African countries have been The number reached 66 thousand visitors (2.5%) ranked sixth.
The increase in visitors’ flows is due to the campaigns launched by Qatar for tourism, which were promoted in the main markets, as well as the calendar of permanent and universal events that were organized throughout the country since the beginning of the year and through which it maintained its position as a favorite tourist destination for different nationalities, and reflects the distinctive numbers of Gulf visitors with the distinguished and developed tourist infrastructure that Qatar has, as well as tourist facilities Of hotels, restaurants, gardens and beaches, the huge numbers of visitors, especially the citizens of the Gulf states, emphasize the Qatari leadership in tourism, as it imposed itself on the map of international tourism.
“Qatar on your love”
In this context, Visit QATAR launched its 2025 summer campaign under the title “Qatar on your love”, which invites visitors from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and abroad.
The campaign aims to highlight Qatar as a summer destination that provides rich and varied experiences that satisfy all tastes, which enhances its position as a distinctive option to spend a summer vacation that meets the aspirations of various groups of visitors.
The “Qatar on Hawak” campaign is strengthening Qatar as a safe and suitable destination for families, thanks to its advanced infrastructure and comprehensive services that take into account the needs of all visitors.
The campaign presents a glimpse of the most prominent events, including the Qatar Games Festival 2025, which is one of the most prominent summer activities in Doha and designed specifically for children and families. The campaign also contributes to promoting the upcoming winter season, which will be full of a group of international events in sports, music and tourism festivals, providing unique experiences for all ages. Visit QATAR also recently launched a new promotional film with the participation of world star David Beckham, through which it reviews the diversity of tourist ingredients and unique experiences that the State of Qatar abounds. The film deals with a dialogue in which Beckham is participating in his knowledge of a hotel official in the country about some of his most preferred destinations in Qatar, which reflects the cultural richness and the natural diversity of it.
