The General Tax Authority called on all chargers registered to adhere to submitting their tax decisions for the financial period 2024, through the electronic tax platform, before the deadline set on August 31, 2025, in order to avoid applying any penalties or taking legal measures as a result of the delay. The authority emphasized that this procedure comes in implementation of the provisions of the Income Tax Law (Law No. 24 of 2018) and its executive regulations and amendments, where all companies and institutions that have a commercial record or commercial license within the country must submit their tax decisions within the specified time limit, including tax -exempt companies, and companies fully owned by Qatari citizens or citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, in addition to companies that include companies Foreign partners.
In this context, the authority renewed its confirmation of the continuation of the initiative to exempt from financial penalties by 100%, which allows the taxpayers the opportunity to settle their tax conditions without any additional financial burdens, in accordance with the conditions and conditions approved. It has made clear that the initiative is valid until August 31, 2025, and the taxpayers can submit exemption requests and attach the required documents easily via the electronic tax platform.
This initiative is part of the strategic approach to the national economy and encouraging project owners to voluntarily comply, by providing a flexible and stimulating tax environment, which contributes to enhancing the confidence of the business sector and investors and building a diversified and sustainable economy.
This comes within the framework of the commitment of the General Tax Authority to provide effective support to the taxpayers, by reducing financial burdens, facilitating procedures, and helping them to correct their tax conditions and fulfill their legal obligations.
