A delegation from the Gulf Electricity Electricity Authority visits the concrete station for solar energy

A delegation representing the Gulf Electricity Authority, along with a number of participants in the workshop “reliability of renewable energy sources in the countries of the Cooperation Council”, visited the Al -Kharsa Solar Energy Station to identify the latest technologies, operation and maintenance used by the station, the first of its kind in the State of Qatar.
The visit of the station, which was developed and operated by Siraj (1) Energy Company of Qatar Energy for Renewable Solutions, which is fully owned by Qatar Energy, came on the sidelines of a symposium organized by the Gulf Electricity Authority in Doha.
The production capacity of the concrete station for solar energy is 800 megawatts, and began providing the Qatar National Network with electric energy in June 2022.
Qatar energy has been built and operated by the Ras Luvan and Mieed solar energy stations with a total production capacity of 875 megawatts of electricity, which doubled the production capacity of solar power plants in the State of Qatar to 1,675 megawatts of renewable electrical energy, and is currently building a solar energy smoke station that will double the ability of the State of Qatar to produce electricity from solar energy to more than 4 thousand megawatts of energy Renewed.
Qatar Energy established Qatar Energy Renewable Solutions in 2017 with the aim of financing, building, operating and maintaining solar energy facilities and selling electricity generated from solar energy within the State of Qatar, and Qatar Energy Company has 60% of Siraj (1) energy company.
It is noteworthy that the Gulf Electricity Electricity Authority is the body responsible for the electrical linking project between the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
