Strengthening trade cooperation with the United Kingdom.. Qatar discusses the challenges of entrepreneurship in the Gulf countries

His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Sayed, Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs, headed the delegation of the State of Qatar participating in the fifth consultative meeting between Their Excellencies the Ministers of Trade and Industry and Gulf entrepreneurs, which was held in the sisterly State of Kuwait, with the participation of Their Excellencies the Ministers of Trade and Industry of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and His Excellency the Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf.
The meeting focused on exchanging experiences and challenges facing entrepreneurship in the GCC countries and reviewing initiatives that support small and medium enterprises and ways to enhance Gulf innovation and entrepreneurship.
On the other hand, His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Sayed, Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs, met with His Excellency Mr. Chris Bryant, Member of Parliament and Minister of Trade in the United Kingdom, on the sidelines of the meetings of the ministerial committees of the Commercial and Industrial Cooperation Committees that were held in the sisterly State of Kuwait.
During the meeting, issues of common interest that aim to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the trade, investment and industrial fields were reviewed, and ways to support and develop them were discussed, in addition to discussing the completion of the signing of the free trade agreement with the British side.
The successful economic policies adopted by the State of Qatar to support the private sector were also discussed, as well as the incentives, legislation and promising investment opportunities provided by the State to encourage investors and businessmen to invest in the Qatari market.
