The State of Qatar participated in the work of the Trade and Investment Forum between the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, which will be held during the period from 10 to 11 November in Cairo under the slogan “A road map towards enhancing Egyptian-Gulf economic cooperation” with the participation of a number of Their Excellencies, ministers, senior officials and businessmen from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and Egypt.
The State of Qatar was represented in the forum by His Excellency Mr. Mohammed bin Hassan Al Malki, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, with the participation of a number of representatives of the government and private sectors.
The forum aims to strengthen economic relations between Egypt and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, during which the investment environment and many new cooperation opportunities in various economic, commercial and investment sectors on both sides were reviewed, as well as the most important developments and highlighting the most important legislation supporting the strengthening of strategic partnerships between public and private sector investors in Egypt and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries. The challenges facing the flow of investments between the two sides were also discussed.
The Egyptian-Gulf Trade and Investment Forum is a strategic platform for strengthening the economic partnership between the two sides and shaping the future of investment cooperation in line with the vision of the two sides. This forum also produces many results and recommendations, including launching partnership initiatives and signing memorandums of understanding between the private sector on both sides, in addition to announcing new projects proposed for implementation.
