Portuguese coach Arthur Jorge bid farewell to the Al Rayyan players in a final gesture before leaving to take up a new coaching job with the Brazilian club Curzior, after Al Rayyan officially announced his departure from the team.
Al Rayyan Club officially thanked the coach for the period he spent with the team, wishing him success in his next experience, as George was keen to meet the players and say his last greetings to them before traveling and starting his new mission in Brazil.
Arthur George had taken over as coach of Al Rayyan in the middle of last season, succeeding national coach Younis Ali, and he did not achieve any championship during his tenure, as his most notable achievement was reaching the Emir Cup final last season, before losing the title to Al Gharafa. Al-Arab learned that there were many nominations to choose the name of the new coach for Al Rayyan, including the current coach of the Al Wakrah team, the Spaniard Vicente Moreno.
