The Qatar Football Association’s Arbitration Department held a coordination meeting with the clubs, via video communication technology, as part of its keenness to enhance awareness of the latest amendments to the laws of the game of football.
The meeting witnessed a detailed explanation of the updates issued by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), where Valentin Ivanov, the technical expert in the arbitration department, reviewed the most prominent new changes, explaining the mechanisms for implementing them on the field, and their implications for the conduct of matches.
Abdullah Al Balushi, head of the Sunni Groups Department at the Arbitration Department, also participated in the meeting, who stressed the importance of these meetings in unifying understanding between the clubs’ technical and administrative bodies, which contributes to reducing arbitration errors and enhancing the principle of fair play.
This meeting comes as part of a series of awareness-raising workshops organized by the Arbitration Department, with the aim of raising the efficiency of the practical application of the laws and ensuring that clubs keep up with the latest developments on the international football scene.
