Basketball fans are awaiting the final confrontation of the His Highness the Emir’s Cup Championship for the 2025-2026 season, which brings together Al Arabi and Al Sadd, at 6:30 pm today at Al Gharafa Hall, in an anticipated summit between two teams that presented strong and consistent levels throughout their journey in the tournament.
Al-Arabi reached the final after defeating Al-Ahly 89-70 in the semi-finals.
On the other hand, Al Sadd qualified for the final after defeating Al Rayyan 87-72 in the semi-final.
Al-Arabi enters the final with the ambition of winning the title after a distinguished path and clear technical stability this season, as it won the General League title and the Qatar Cup, and is looking forward to achieving the treble this season, while Al-Sadd is counting on the experience of its players to decide the major matches.

The announcement came during an extensive press conference held by the federation at its official headquarters, in the presence of Saadoun Sabah Al Kuwari, Secretary General of the Qatar Basketball Association and director of the national teams, along with representatives of the two teams and the technical and administrative staff. Al Kuwari welcomed the two teams, congratulating them on reaching the final match, stressing that Al Arabi and Al Sadd presented high technical levels throughout the tournament, and well deserved their presence in the final scene.
Al-Kuwari said that the Federation worked to produce a final worthy of the value and status of His Highness the Emir’s Cup, as it is one of the most important tournaments in the Qatari basketball calendar, noting that the match will be accompanied by distinguished public events.
Al-Kuwari revealed that valuable prizes were being allocated to the fans, in addition to organizing a raffle for a car provided by Al-Nokhba Motors Company.
From Al-Arabi’s side, Abdul Rahman Abu Faisal, head of the basketball body, and Tunisian Hatem Mamlouk, the team’s coach, were present, while the club was represented by Khaled Al-Tamimi, head of the basketball body, and Turkish coach Cengiz Karadag.
Abdul Rahman Abu Faisal expressed his great appreciation for Al-Sadd Club, praising the distinguished elements it possesses and the capable technical staff, stressing that the final will not be easy for either party.
Meanwhile, Tunisian Hatem Mamlouk, coach of Al Arabi, confirmed that his team is fully prepared to compete in the final, noting that facing Al Sadd requires high concentration due to the strength of the competitor, who performed at distinguished levels during the tournament.
On the other hand, Khaled Al-Tamimi, head of Al-Sadd, stressed his team’s full respect for Al-Arabi Club, stressing that it is one of the strong and experienced teams in tournaments.
Al Tamimi said that the confrontation will be very difficult, but Al Sadd has a strong desire to win the title and end the season in a perfect way.
For his part, Turkish coach Cengiz Karadag stressed that Al Sadd’s arrival in the final represents an important achievement, especially after the elimination of the defending champion.
He said that facing Al-Arabi will be very difficult, and he expressed his hope that his team would succeed in winning the title and making its fans happy.
