"Qatar Tourism" Participates in the 30th round table of governments in the magazine "The Economist"

Qatar Tourism participated in the thirtieth round table meeting of governments organized by The Economist magazine, which began in the Greek capital, Athens, yesterday, Wednesday, and concludes tomorrow, Friday.

Qatar Tourism was represented at the meeting, which was opened by His Excellency President Konstantinos Tasoulas, President of the Greek Republic, His Excellency Mr. Saad bin Ali Al Kharji, President of Qatar Tourism and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Visit Qatar, and participated in it alongside an elite group of senior officials, business leaders, decision-makers, and international experts from various parts of the world, to discuss ways to enhance international cooperation and the role of infrastructure and innovation in supporting sustainable development.

A Qatar Tourism statement indicated that His Excellency Mr. Saad bin Ali Al Kharji participated in the main discussion session titled “Connecting regions, communities and countries to enhance resilience and prosperity,” along with a group of international leaders, where the session focused on the role of international cooperation in driving sustainable growth, enhancing flexibility, and building economies more capable of facing global changes.

The statement said: His Excellency highlighted the experience of the State of Qatar in enhancing the flexibility of the tourism sector through effective response to crises and the integration of efforts between various parties, stressing that flexibility has become an essential pillar for maintaining the confidence of investors and travelers, and a major support for the sustainability of the sector’s growth.
His Excellency also highlighted the position of the State of Qatar as a global hub that seamlessly connects travelers across Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East, through a pioneering air network and strategic international partnerships that enhance travel and communication between markets.

The statement pointed out that Qatar Tourism’s participation reflects its continued commitment to enhancing its presence in the most prominent global platforms, strengthening strategic partnerships, and presenting its vision for developing a sustainable tourism sector to an elite group of policymakers, investors and business leaders, noting that the forum provided an opportunity to highlight the capabilities that the State of Qatar enjoys, including tourism infrastructure and a promising investment environment, which consolidates its position as a reliable tourist destination to keep pace with the requirements of the future.
