Our national athletics team continued its excellence during its participation in the Neustadt International Meeting in Germany, after the Annabi runners imposed absolute control over the 800-meter race by achieving first and second places, where the promising runner Hatem Hamid was crowned first place with a time of (1:44.99) minutes, breaking his personal record for the second time in two days, and breaking the one minute and 45 seconds barrier for the first time in his artistic career. Al-Annabi’s distinction in this race was completed with champion Ibrahim Abbas winning second place and the silver medal with a time of (1:45.64) minutes, recording his best number in the current season, confirming his full recovery of his physical and tactical readiness after a period of strong preparation. On the other hand, our hero Abdul Rahman Ibrahim achieved fourth place in the final of the hammer throw competition at the World Athletics Championships for Youth Under 20, held in the American city of Eugene, recording a strong throw that reached a distance of 73.36 metres.
