Yutong, in cooperation with Mowasalat Company (Karwa), successfully concluded the fourth edition of the “Yutong and Mowasalat” energy-efficient driving competition 2026, which aims to appreciate the skills of bus drivers and highlight the importance of safe and efficient driving in the public transportation sector.
The competition brought together a group of Mowasalat company drivers, where participants underwent theoretical and practical assessments to measure their driving skills and their ability to handle buses efficiently, while maintaining safety standards, passenger comfort, and smooth driving. The competition included cognitive tests and practical applications, during which a team of arbitrators from Mowasalat and Yutong evaluated the drivers’ performance according to a set of criteria, including driving safety, operating efficiency, vehicle control, and overall performance.
During the event, representatives of the two companies stressed the importance of the role played by professional drivers in providing safe, reliable and efficient public transportation services, praising the commitment of the participants and their keenness to develop their skills and raise the level of their professional performance. The fourth edition of the competition also witnessed the participation of school bus drivers, emphasizing the importance of applying the highest standards of safety and responsible driving in various transportation services.
This initiative comes within the framework of ongoing cooperation between Yutong and Mowasalat to support the development of drivers’ skills, exchange experiences, and promote best driving practices in the public transportation sector in the State of Qatar.
The winning drivers were honored and presented with certificates and prizes, in recognition of their outstanding performance and commitment to safe and efficient driving.
