As the year-end holiday season approaches, Hamad International Airport (DOH) is preparing to receive increasing numbers of passengers, especially during the peak period from December 17 to 20, 2024, as travelers head to their destinations for their holidays. To ensure a smooth and enjoyable travel experience, the airport would like to share the following important tips and updates:
Arrive at the airport 3 hours early
Online check-in and early arrival: Travelers are advised to complete online check-in and arrive at the airport 3 hours before the flight time to avoid delays and ensure a smooth travel experience. Check-in facilities will close 60 minutes prior to departure time.
Use of self-service facilities: Qatar Airways passengers can make use of the self-check-in and baggage drop facilities available in the check-in area (row 3). Which enables you to print boarding passes and baggage tags, tag your luggage and hand it over before heading to the immigration point.
Speeding up immigration and passport procedures using electronic portals: Citizens and residents can use electronic portals, taking into account the terms and conditions.
Please follow the signs or ask the staff for assistance.
Baggage guidelines
Compliance with Baggage Policies: Travelers are reminded that airlines will strictly enforce baggage policies and weight restrictions. Please check with your airline for specific instructions.
Avoid bulky baggage: It is best not to use non-standard or bulky baggage. A baggage repacking area is available in the departure lounge with weighing machines to assist.
Baggage Protection: Passengers are advised to use the baggage packing facilities available in the departure lounge to protect their bags.

Prohibited Items: Make sure not to carry prohibited items such as liquids, aerosols, and lotions exceeding 100 ml, unless kept in clear, resealable plastic bags. Electronic devices larger than cell phones should be removed from bags during the x-ray examination.
Unattended Baggage: Baggage must not be left unattended. Any bags left behind will be removed immediately for security reasons.
Lithium-powered devices: Small vehicles powered by lithium batteries, such as balance boards, are prohibited.
