Qatar Airways celebrated the launch of new flights to Toronto, Canada, as well as equipping more of its aircraft with Starlink service. Qatar Airways’ inaugural flight arrived at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) in Canada on Wednesday on a Boeing 777 aircraft equipped with Starlink service. Thus, the Qatari carrier launched its flights to Toronto, with three direct flights weekly from Hamad International Airport (DOH), the best airport in the world according to the global Skytrax vote for the year 2024.
In this context, Toronto becomes Qatar Airways’ second destination in Canada, after Montreal, which has provided its services, since its launch in 2011, to more than 1.6 million passengers via seven flights daily to and from Montreal Trudeau International Airport. Toronto also represents the Qatari carrier’s fourteenth destination in the Americas.
The launch of flights to Toronto provides travelers from Canada and abroad with seamless access to various destinations through Qatar Airways’ growing global network.
It should be noted that the launch of these new flights coincided with Qatar Airways exceeding its goal of including the Starlink Internet service on board 12 Boeing 777 aircraft by the end of 2024, so that 14 aircraft of the same model will be provided with this service within less than 55 days, bringing The total number of Qatari carrier aircraft provided with this service is 15 aircraft.

It is worth noting that Qatar Airways is the largest international airline that offers the Starlink service for free on board its aircraft, and it is also the first airline in the world to operate Boeing 777 aircraft equipped with the Starlink service.
