A scientific study confirmed that bathing in cold water or immersing the body in the snow after exercising violent sporting exercises involves health benefits and helps calm sleep, but temporarily increases the possibility of infections.

A scientific team from the University of Southern Australia tested 12 research studies on the benefits of immersion in cold water, in which about 320 athletes and specialists in physical and physical health participated. It was found from the study, which was reported by the Plos One academic periodic, decreased stress rates and improved sleep in general after immersion in cold water.

Experiments have proven that immersion in iced water reduces stress for 12 hours.

But the researchers have warned that immersion in cold water temporarily increases the risk of infections, and therefore people with chronic health problems are advised to be careful before going through the experience of immersion in ice water, because initial infections that may affect the body involve severe health consequences for them.

In statements to the website “Health Day”, which specializes in scientific research, the researchers emphasized more research to identify people who achieve the utmost benefit from immersion in cold water and understand its impact in the long term.
