Return of the disease
On January 30, the Ministry of Health in Uganda announced the outbreak of Ebola disease in the capital, Kampala, and deaths were recorded, including a 4 -year -old child.
The authorities have failed to control the spread of the disease, which is quickly transmitted by mixing with people with it.
The last appearance of the epidemic in Uganda dates back to 2022, when the government announced it permanently at the beginning of 2023 after widespread efforts and support from the United States of America.
During the year 2022, Ebola in Uganda killed 55 out of 143 people, including some health workers.
In the context, Kampala representative of the World Health Organization, Kasondi Mwinga, said that the goal now is to quickly contain the outbreak of the disease, and to address its effect on public health, as well as the social and economic life of people with it.

Ebola is classified as deadly and widespread epidemics, as it causes bleeding inside and outside the body and weakens the human immune system.
The World Health Organization says that there is no drug licensed to combat the Ebola virus, but it started on March 3 in clinical trials for vaccination with a vaccine that has been worked on since January 30.
The organization added that the new clinical experience is supervised by researchers and international organizations with the aim of protecting the people who were mixed with the injured people, and it is expected to come up with positive results in the coming period.
