A recent scientific study conducted by Chinese scientists reached the discovery of the main mechanism behind bacterial treatment for cancer using a genetically modified bacterial strain.

According to experts from the Chentine Institute for Advanced Technology and the Shanghai Institute for Nutrition and Health of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the use of anti -tumor bacteria in the treatment of cancer is due to the 1960s, and despite this long history, the application of this clinical treatment was facing great challenges in safety and effectiveness.

The designed bacteria 1 “DB1” are characterized by their ability to survive and reproduce efficiently inside the tumor tissue, while they are disinfected in natural tissues, which enhances their ability to target and disinfect tumors.

The researchers revealed, by studying the interactions between bacteria and tumors, that the effectiveness of these bacteria is closely related to toxic T cells with memory that are found in the tissues inside the tumor, and are activated and expanded after treatment with “DB1”, and it was found that “DP1” helps to slow the migration of neutral cells in tumors, which enhances the survival of bacteria in its targeted place.

The results also showed that the intercine-10 signal plays a decisive role in this process, as the effect of treatment depends on the high expression of the Intercin-10 future on T cells and neutral cells in the tumors only.

These results are of great practical importance, as genetically modified bacteria may effectively prevent the growth, repetition and spread of multiple types of tumors, which provides a scientific basis for developing personal guided treatment plans in the future. Genetically modified bacteria can work as a way to accurately connect medications, opening a new horizon for the treatment of malignant tumors.
