Visa, the world leader in digital payments, has announced the results of the II VISA index for the digitization of small and medium -owned companies in the State of Qatar. The results revealed the superiority of companies owned by women, and in particular the acceptance of digital payments, electronic attendance and customer preservation, in addition to using more than 50% of them digitization and modern technology in customer service.
The index is evaluating companies based on five main axes: electronic attendance, acceptance of digital payments, awareness of the security of payments, interaction with customers and retaining them.
Commenting on the results, Shashnkan Singh, Vice President and Director General of Visa in Kuwait and Qatar said: “The study of the digitization of small and medium -owned companies has shed light on the main growth challenges facing these companies in the State of Qatar; Such as accessing training on payments (35%), better strategies to attract customers (34%) and enhance communication opportunities (31%). Visa maintains its commitment to work with our local partners to address these challenges through monitoring and providing resources for women, corporate leaders, as well as the Qatari government’s support to build a comprehensive and flexible digital economy.
Among the most prominent results included in the study of the digitization index of small and medium -owned companies is that business entrepreneurs in the State of Qatar realize the impact of artificial intelligence on business, as it uses technology in customer service (56%), managing the supply chain (56%), payments and bills (55%), data analysis and decision -making (50%). The percentage of entrepreneurs in the State of Qatar with experience in the field of cyber threats is 62%.
More than half of the participants in the questionnaire (63%) indicated the need to increase the accuracy of transactions and settlements, after using artificial intelligence in the payments of their companies. 45% of them tried improved techniques to detect and prevent fraud.
The companies owned by women in the State of Qatar effectively use their accounts for e -commerce, business and customers (63%) or the company’s accounts on social media pages (40%) in order to sell their products and services via the Internet.
The entrepreneurial pioneers in the State of Qatar are also important to ensure the security of digital transactions by increasing employees’ awareness and training (44%) and continuous monitoring (43%).
Likewise, growth and skills development are still one of the main priorities of business entrepreneurs, as many of them look forward to expanding new markets. Half of the posts (49%) seek to focus on enhancing the scope of access to customers as a strategy that aims to expand their business.
Four of every ten companies owned by women included in the survey (45%) showed their desire to explore new markets or sectors. Parallel to the focus of entrepreneurs on digital growth and the expansion of their business, “Visa” emphasized its commitment to supporting the tools, resources and platforms they need to ensure their success in the world of digital economy.
