The Qatari Businessmen Association received the US ambassador to the State of Qatar, His Excellency Mr. Timi Davis, during a banquet held by Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Thani Al Thani, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Qatari Businessmen Association, and was attended by Sheikh Faisal bin Qasim Al Thani, Chairman of the Association, and the members of the Association’s Board of Directors of Sheikh Nawwaf bin Nasser bin Khaled Al Thani and Mr. Saud Al -Manea. Among the members of the Association, Sheikh Muhammad bin Faisal Al Thani, Mr. Khaled Al -Mannai, Sheikh Mansour bin Jassim Al Thani, Mr. Ashraf Abu Issa, Mr. Youssef Al -Mahmoud, Mr. Muhammad Al -Taf and Mr. Ihsan Al -Khimi.
His Excellency Ambassador Timi Davis pointed to the strength of the extended and dominant bilateral relations between the United States and the State of Qatar in various fields of investment and business, and stressed that there are great capabilities to increase cooperation between businessmen in the two countries. The meeting included constructive discussions on many economic aspects through which cooperation can be cooperated and the investment opportunities available in the United States for Qatari businessmen.

The development of bilateral relationships
His Excellency Sheikh Faisal bin Qasim Al Thani, head of the Association, welcomed the guests, praising the strong bilateral relations between the State of Qatar and the United States, which has been constantly developing until it reached a distinguished stage of strategic partnership in all fields, adding that the Qatari private sector is working to enhance cooperation opportunities and support economic relations between the two countries, and it has reached a stage of maturity that enables it to establish local or regional partnerships with a strategic partner such as the United States.

The depth of bilateral relations
For his part, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Khaled bin Thani stressed that the depth of historical relations and ties between the State of Qatar and the United States helps the business sectors in the two countries to consolidate their cooperation in a way that is in the interest on both sides.
Sheikh Dr. Khaled bin Thani also indicated that there are various investments for the Qatari private sector in the American market, whether it relates to tourism, the services sector or the retail sector, stressing the importance of the American market, especially as it is one of the largest consumer markets in the world.
Trade relations between the State of Qatar and the United States of America have gained great momentum since the signing of the Trade and Investment Agreement (TIFA) in 2004, where the volume of trade exchange between the two countries is more than 9 billion dollars annually, which made Doha the reliable commercial partner of Washington, and that American companies operating in the State of Qatar contribute mainly to the development movement witnessed by the state, especially in light of the presence of 856 American companies operating in the Qatari market according to the latest numbers Issued by the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
