Muscat hosts Gulf beach games

The beaches of Muscat Governorate in the Sultanate of Oman are preparing to host the third edition of the Beach Games of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (Muscat 2025 », which begins on Saturday, April 5, with the participation of 6 Gulf countries: the Sultanate of Oman, the Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain.
The official opening ceremony of the session will be held under the patronage of Mr. Malik bin Shihab Al Said at the lake theater in the Natural Crimea Park, marking the opening of the competitions that are expected to witness strong and exciting competition between the people of the Gulf states to crown colored medals. The Hosting of the Sultanate of Oman embodies its keenness to enhance sports cooperation between the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council, and to support the development of beach sports according to international standards.
The competition competitions that are held in various locations in the Governorate of Muscat include a group of beach sports that combine skills and competition, which are: beach football, beach handball, beach volleyball, beach athletics, marine sports, open waters, air sports, and equestrian (pickup). This choice is a balanced mix between team and individual games.
The Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex at Boushar is witnessing football competitions on sandy stadiums during the period from April 7 to 11, in addition to handball competitions from 5 to 11 April.
In Al -Ahaiba Beach, volleyball competitions will be held from April 8 to 11, and athletics competitions during the period from 8 to 10 April.
Al -Mouf Muscat will host the long swimming competitions during the period from 9 to 11 April, while sailing sailing competitions will be held on the northern trick beach during the period from April 6 to 10, in addition to the paragliding competitions during the period from 5 to 7 April, while the pegs capture will be held on the Al Rahba farm during the period from 8 to 10 April.
The opening ceremony of the session will be held on Saturday, April 5, at eight o’clock in the evening, at the lake theater in the Natural Crimea Garden, in the presence of a high -ranking official from His Highness, Excellencies and Excellency the heads of the Gulf Olympic Committees, and from their level, in addition to the presence of a number of senior officials of sports bodies in the Gulf Cooperation Council states and at the regional and international levels.
