A delegation from the General Customs Authority headed by His Excellency Mr. Ahmed bin Abdullah Al -Gammal, head of the authority, and a number of directors of departments, met an invitation from the Iranian Customs Authority for an official visit to Tehran, with the aim of strengthening bilateral cooperation between the State of Qatar and the Islamic Republic of Iran in the customs field.
During the visit, the President of the General Authority of Customs met in the State of Qatar, with His Excellency Mr. Farroud Askari, Deputy Minister of Economy and Head of the Customs Authority in the Islamic Republic of Iran, to discuss and discuss ways to enhance cooperation in areas related to customs procedures and exchange experiences in the areas of training and combat smuggling and customs violations between the two sides, and in light of what was discussed, the two parties signed the minutes of a meeting to define mechanisms to activate the mutual administrative assistance agreement signed Between the two countries.
On the sidelines of the visit, His Excellency Mr. Ahmed bin Abdullah Al -Jamal, Chairman of the General Authority of Customs, met with His Excellency Mr. Muhammad Ali Dahqan Dahnawi, Deputy Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade and Chairman of the Iranian Trade Development Organization, where ways to enhance trade exchange and customs role in facilitating and developing the movement of import and export between the two countries were discussed.
