A strong start in the West Asian Athletics Clubs Championship, which is held on the field and track of the Suhaim Bin Hamad Stadium in Qatar Club, and has the participation of more than 400 runners representing 22 clubs from (11) countries. The opening ceremony came in the presence of His Excellency Mr. Dahlan Jamaan Al -Hamad, President of the AFC, Muhammad Issa Al -Fadala, Vice President of the West Federation and the President of the Qatar Athletics Federation, and Hassan Youssef Al -Mulla, Chairman of Al -Ahly Club. The start of the official opening ceremony came with a distinctive artistic painting starting from the queue of the presentation for the participating clubs, then the Olympic champion Moataz Issa Barshm gave the players ’department, which emphasized the commitment to the spirit of honorable competition and the values ​​of authentic sport.
The start of the tournament witnessed the Al -Ahly club won a group of colored medals, where the club player Mohamed Ali Ammar won the gold medal for the 10 km competition walking with a time (43: 41.50 minutes), and the player of the Jordanian club Shifa Badran came with the silver medal with a time of (46: 45.41 minutes), and Al -Ahly player Ramzi Ahmed Salah came in third place in the bronze medal with a time of 52: 53.83 minutes.
In the long jump competition, David Bradol from Al -Ahly won the gold medal, recording (7.75 m), and his colleague Yassin Sassi came in second place in the silver medal, recording (7.59 m), and won the bronze medal Abdel Baset Sido, recording (7.38 m)
Al -Ahly player Youssef Bakhit won the gold medal in the competition for the Al -Jalah competition (19.68 AD) and Al -Baha player Ahmed Desouki won the silver medal, recording (18.13 AD), while the Kuwaiti Kazma player Hussein Al -Tamimi won the bronze medal, recording (16.85 AD).
In the category of women, Al -Ahly player Rowan Ayman Taha crowned the gold medal for the hammer overthrow, registered (62.68 m), and the Qatari Arab Club player, Linda Brett, won the silver medal (59.03 m), and her colleague Nabiha bint Kamal Al -Qaddah won the bronze medal (46.07 m)
