In an unprecedented move, the Qatari “BN Sports” group, the exclusive carrier of the largest international sports championships, began implementing a large -scale restructuring plan that was to dispense with the services of about 200 employees of multiple nationalities. This step comes within a digital transformation strategy aimed at keeping pace with the rapid developments in the global media scene.

The decisions of dispensing included a large number of journalists, broadcasters, producers and technicians, as well as photography and studio teams, which indicates a deep shift in the structure of work inside the channel. The media circles circulated the names of a number of prominent media professionals whose services were completed, including the Algerian broadcaster Laila Smati, the journalist Muhib Bin Shuwaikh, and the director of the channel’s office in Sudan, Samer Al -Amrabi, in addition to the Libyan journalist Muhannad Al -Jali, and Mohamed Amor, director of the news channel.

This step confirms that the network is moving towards a more technology -based media model, including artificial intelligence and direct digital broadcasting services, which reduces the need for traditional cadres in some locations.

This restructuring opens the door to a new stage of media competition, while its human and professional influence remains a wide discussion in Arab and international media circles.
