Younis Ali, Al Rayyan’s coach, announced today the team’s roster departing for the Saudi capital, Riyadh, to face its Saudi counterpart, Al-Nassr, the day after tomorrow, Monday, at King Saud University Stadium, in the second round of the AFC Champions League for elite football.
The list selected for the match included Fahd Younis, Sami Habib, Paulo Victor, Murad Naji, Hazem Ahmed, Julian de Sart, David Garcia, Abdulaziz Hatem, Rodrigo Tabata, Mahmoud Trezeguet, Ahmed Al-Rawi, Jar Ghadish, Gabriel Pereira, Ahmed Al-Menhali, Andre. Amaro, Adel Badr, Tamim Mansour, Abdul Rahman Al-Harazi, Muhammad Siraj, Francisco Ginella, Khaled Ali, Khaled Muftah, Ali Qadiri, Amid Mahajna, Muhammad Saleh, Joshua Brent, Ashraf bin Sharqi.
Al Rayyan lost in the first round of the tournament to Al Hilal Saudi Arabia at Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium, by three goals to one, while Al Nassr tied outside its stadium in the same round against the Iraqi Police, with a similar goal.
Al Rayyan lost its last match against Al Arabi by two goals to one in the sixth round of the Qatari Football League.
