Al-Arab learned that the Egyptian Al-Ahly Club has sent its official approval to the Qatar Club regarding the transfer of South African player Percy Tau to the ranks of the “King Qatari Club”. The player is scheduled to arrive in Doha tomorrow morning, Thursday, to join the team.
Tao received the entry visa through his agent, who will accompany him during his trip to Doha. It is expected that the player will undergo a medical examination at the beginning of next week, in preparation for his official registration on the team’s roster. However, expectations indicate that Tao may not participate in the team’s upcoming match against Al-Duhail on Sunday, at the end of the twelfth round of the Ooredoo Stars League.
Swiss coach Marcel Kohler, Al-Ahly’s coach, had given the green light to the club’s management to approve Tao’s departure, especially with his lack of participation with the team during the recent period.
The player’s contract with Al-Ahly expires at the end of the current season, which makes his move to “King Qatari” an opportunity to finish the remainder of the season with a new experience.
