Al Faisal Holding Company, one of the largest private groups with diversified activities in the State of Qatar and the region, sponsored the activities of the Third Doha Conference for Development and Training in cooperation with the International Federation for Training and Development, under the slogan “Training for Sustainable Development and Vision 2030.”
The opening ceremony, which was held under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani, Chairman of the Board of Directors, was attended by a large number of ambassadors, representatives of diplomatic missions and representatives of ministries, with the participation of an elite group of experts and specialists from various Gulf Cooperation Council countries and Arab countries.
Al-Faisal Holding’s sponsorship of this event comes within the framework of its commitment to supporting programs and initiatives that contribute to the development of people and society by promoting a culture of continuous learning, which reflects its mission to contribute to building a society based on knowledge, leadership and innovation.
During the conference, the latest practices in the fields of training and institutional development were discussed, as well as its importance and effectiveness in empowering individuals and institutions and supporting national development programs in the region. The number of participants in this edition reached about 470 participants representing 22 countries, which is a significant increase from the previous editions of the conference that were held in 2023 and 2024, which included 170 and then 300 participants, respectively.
On the sidelines of the conference, His Excellency Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Faisal Holding Company and the organizing sponsor of the conference, held a dinner in honor of the participants, in the presence of a group of Arab figures participating in the conference at Al Samriya Hotel, one of the most prominent hotels affiliated with the company and distinguished by its unique architectural design that combines authenticity and modernity. His Excellency also took the guests on a private tour of the Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani Museum, where he shared with them his passion for collecting rare collectibles that express the history and heritage of the Arab and Islamic region. During the tour, His Excellency was keen to introduce the guests to the beauty and authenticity of Qatari culture, stressing the importance of exchanging cultures and rapprochement between peoples through heritage and arts.
For his part, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Faisal Al Thani, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Faisal Holding Company and Honorary President of the International Federation for Training and Development, confirmed, saying: “We are pleased to cooperate and support the Third Doha Conference for Training and Development under the leadership of Professor Dr. Daraa Al-Dosari, as he is one of the most prominent pioneers in the field of training, development and human development, and has a clear and influential imprint in this field. In this context, Dr. Dara Al-Dosari, Chairman of the Conference, expressed his thanks and appreciation to Al-Faisal Holding Company for its support in organizing the conference, stressing that this support reflects the company’s belief in its role in empowering Arab institutions and developing human competencies, as the company represents a pioneering model in investing in people. He also stressed that its active participation in this event embodies its true commitment to spreading the culture of development and innovation to serve the process of sustainable development in the Arab world. He also thanked and appreciated all the Qatari youth and resident volunteers who contributed to organizing and coordinating the conference activities over three consecutive days.
