The filly (Fakhira), owned by Mr. Khalifa bin Shuail Al-Kuwari, was crowned champion of the Liwa International Stakes (Stallions Jump), reserved for purebred female Arabian horses aged four years and above, which was held for a distance of 2,000 meters on the Latest racetrack in France, with the participation of five fillies.
Fakhira’s victory came under the supervision of coach Thomas Forsey and the leadership of Al Khayal Alexander Gavilan, confirming her distinguished level after she achieved her second successive victory at the first category level, and presented a strong performance that won the competition by a clear margin.
In her previous participation, Fakhira had won the Criterium Yas Racing female round of the first category on the same track last month, raising her tally to four victories in only five participations, including two wins in the first category.
The stages of the first half witnessed the distribution of participants into two groups, where (Fakhira) came behind (Labwat Al-Sham) on the outer side, while (Al-Banoud) topped the group near the inner barrier.
As the final curve approached, the two groups began to merge, and Fakhira continued to move comfortably before it began to advance gradually.
In the last 300 metres, the competition was limited to (Fakhira) and (Al-Banoud), before the winning filly increased her speed in the last 200 metres, overtaking her rival strongly, and then continuing her rush towards the finish line to secure the victory by a margin of four lengths.
(Al-Banoud), King of Al Shaqab Racing, came in second place, under the supervision of coach Xavier Thomas Dumut and led by Guillaume Gedgue Gué, while (Labwa Al-Sham), King of Al-Safnat, came in third, with an additional quarter-length difference, under the supervision of trainer Thomas Forcy and led by the horse, Fabrice Veron.
The filly (Fakhira), produced by Mr. Shuail bin Khalifa Al-Kuwari, is a daughter of the stallion (Al-Maamoun Munlu) and the mare (Philosophy), a daughter of (AF Al-Bahr), and through her current results continues to consolidate her position among the most prominent purebred Arabian fillies of her generation.
