Al Rayyan Club was crowned champion of the Qatar Athletics Federation Shield Championship for the Buds and Cubs categories for the 2024-2025 sports season, which was held on the field and track of Al Rayyan Sports Club, with the participation of nine clubs: “Al Rayyan, Al Sadd, Al Ahli, Qatar, Al Gharafa, Al Khor, Al Shamal, Al Wakrah, and Al Arabi.” The competition continued for three days.
Al Rayyan Club obtained (126) points for the Cubs category, and (121) for the Buds category, and Al-Ahly Club came in second place by obtaining (125) points for the Cubs and (81) points for the Buds.
Al Arabi Club came in third place in the Cubs category by obtaining (102) points, while Al Gharafa Club ranked third in the Buds category with (75) points.
The Qatari clubs competed in (16) races and competitions at the end of the field and track competition, which were: long jump, high jump, pole vault, discus throw, javelin throw, shot put, hammer throw, 300m and 60m races, 60m hurdles, 600m buds, and the relay. 4 x 50m, 4 x 100m, and 3 km walk, 80m sprint, and 600m for cubs.
