Al Shaqab, a member of Qatar Foundation, announced today the conclusion of a financing agreement with the Social and Sports Activities Support Fund (Daam), to support the second edition of the Al Shaqab International Horse Camel Championship, as well as the Al Shaqab Show Jumping League 2024-2025.
This agreement embodies the developmental role and sustainable impact played by the Daam Fund and the joint stock companies listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange in supporting sports activities in the country, in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030.
Mr. Saif Al Nuaimi, Deputy Executive Director of Al Shaqab, said in a press statement: We at Al Shaqab are pleased to conclude a financing agreement with the Social and Sports Activities Support Fund, to support both the Al Shaqab International Horse Camel Championship 2024 and the Al Shaqab League 2024-2025, stressing that this agreement will contribute to achieving community development. Sustaining sports activities in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.
The second edition of the Al Shaqab International Horse Camel Championship is scheduled to be held from November 6 to 9, 2024, while the second edition of the Al Shaqab League Championship will be during the 2024/2025 season, which aims to provide a prominent platform for riders of all different categories in the show jumping competition. .
For his part, Mr. Hassan Yousef Al-Obaidly, Director of Program Management at the Daam Fund, said: We at the Daam Fund are pleased to conclude a financing agreement with Al Shaqab, a member of the Qatar Foundation, to support both the Al Shaqab International Horse Camel Championship 2024 and the Al Shaqab League 2024-2025.
Al Obaidli pointed out that the Daam Fund had provided support for the first edition of the Al Shaqab International Horse Camel Championship, which achieved amazing success and contributed to enhancing competition in the field of horse shows by attracting the purest breeds of Arabian horses. He expressed his happiness to continue providing support for this tournament for the second time. .
In the same context, he explained that the aim of the support provided to the Al Shaqab Show Jumping League 2024-2025 is to qualify and raise the level of riders in the State of Qatar and enhance their capabilities to compete in regional and international championships.
