Commercial Bank and Alternatif Bank organized the “Horizons Without Borders: Strengthening Trade Relationships between Turkey and the Gulf Cooperation Council” forum, which was held in cooperation with the Turkish Foreign Economic Relations Authority, and in the presence of an elite group of Turkish companies and representatives of major regional entities. The forum provided a platform to discuss investment and financing opportunities and growth prospects in the Gulf markets, and also witnessed high-level participation from senior representatives of the National Bank of Oman and United Arab Bank, in which Commercial Bank owns shares.
Within the framework of strengthening economic and trade ties between Turkey and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, the forum highlighted investment opportunities and growth prospects in the region, in addition to ways to obtain financing, international banking services, trade financing, and corporate banking solutions. It also provided leaders of the Turkish business community with the opportunity to communicate directly with the most prominent financial institutions in the Gulf, which contributes to expanding areas of cooperation and paves the way for building new international trade partnerships.
The forum witnessed the participation of a group of senior officials, led by Stephen Moss, CEO of Commercial Bank Group, Abdullah Altunkum, Chairman of the Turkish-Qatari Business Council of the Turkish Foreign Economic Relations Authority, Shirish Bahidi, CEO of United Arab Bank, and Abdullah Al Hinai, CEO of National Bank of Oman.
Omar Hussein Al-Fardan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Alternatif Bank and Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Commercial Bank, said: “We see promising opportunities to strengthen long-term partnerships between Turkey and the Gulf countries, in light of the strong economic relations between the two sides that support paths of growth and development, by expanding the scope of mutual investments, deepening strategic cooperation, and exploring new horizons for partnership in various sectors.
