The Qatari junior handball team has qualified for the quarter-finals of the 11th Asian Under-19 Championship, which is currently being held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, and continues until August 31, after achieving its fourth successive victory in the tournament at the expense of its Syrian counterpart, with a score of (42-29), today, at the conclusion of its group stage matches.
The Qatari team raised its score to 8 points, at the top of the standings of Group Two, achieving the full score.
The Qatari team began its tournament by defeating the Saudi team with a score of (30-22) in the first round, before defeating its Kuwaiti counterpart with a score of (30-19) in the second round, then beating its Iranian counterpart with a score of (24-22) in the third round, before achieving its fourth victory in a row.
The Qatari team seeks to continue its victories in the tournament and compete for the title, which reflects the continuous development of Qatari handball and confirms its distinguished presence on the Asian scene.
