Today, Aspetar, the Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Hospital, organized a joint workshop with the Qatar Stars League Foundation, at the Performance Development Center at Aspire Academy, with the participation of medical and technical teams from all professional football clubs in the country.
The workshop focused on a number of topics related to the prevention of injuries and diseases in football, as it addressed the latest developments in this regard; with the aim of developing a comprehensive strategy to enhance the preventive aspect of injuries and diseases in the field of football in Qatar.
This year’s workshop was of particular importance, as it contributed to the unification of efforts between Aspetar and the Qatar Stars League, in addition to the active presence of technical and medical cadres from all participating clubs, which confirms the great progress being made in protecting the health of football players, as well as reducing injuries in Qatari football.
At the conclusion of the workshop, the launch of the new Aspetar application for collecting and analyzing injury and disease data was announced. This application aims to improve safety and health procedures by providing an easy-to-use platform for entering, monitoring and analyzing data.
The application also contains advanced analysis tools that help understand patterns and trends related to injuries and diseases, in addition to the ability to create detailed reports to support making the right decisions.
By organizing this annual event, the Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Hospital seeks to emphasize the quality of world-class medical services it provides to local sports clubs and federations, in addition to emphasizing the importance of injury prevention and how to manage them when they occur.
