beIN Media Group, the world’s leading sports, media and entertainment group, has obtained the National Information Assurance (NIA) compliance certificate from the National Cybersecurity Agency in the State of Qatar, becoming the first global organization in the country to successfully pass the procedures for obtaining this certification.

This certification falls under the National Cybersecurity Agency’s National Information Security Compliance Framework (NISCF) and is awarded to organizations that comply with the requirements of the National Information Assurance Standard. The standard specifies security controls and requirements aimed at protecting assets and enhancing information security, which contributes to raising the level of cyber resilience among institutions in Qatar.

The certification covers the entire Group, including all departments and business processes supporting media production and broadcasting, digital platforms, sports and entertainment content rights management, and international distribution across all Group sites.

Mr. Rashid Abdullah Al Obaidly, Director of Information Security Engineering, Projects, Planning and Reporting at beIN, said: “Receiving the National Information Assurance Standard compliance certification across the entire group represents an important milestone for beIN, and reflects the collective efforts made to keep pace with the National Information Security Standards in Qatar. As cyber threats continue to evolve, we continue to focus on protecting our operations, platforms and audiences, in parallel with supporting Qatar’s broader goals in the field of cybersecurity and digital resilience.”

This achievement reinforces beIN’s commitment to information security, operational resilience and digital trust across its operations around the world. It also contributes to achieving the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030 by supporting the country’s ongoing efforts to enhance cyber readiness and develop a secure and flexible digital system.
