He said in a speech to him during the opening session of the Qatar Economic Forum in cooperation with Bloomberg, whose fifth edition was launched today, that the State of Qatar represents a positive force for stability and long -term thinking, including its brief vision in the field of energy … noting that the State of Qatar “is one of the first in exporting liquefied natural gas in the world and invests billions in renewable energy inside and outside the country … and this economic leadership and a forward -looking view must Be an inspiration for other countries. “
The founder of the Bloomberg Media Group also praised the role of Qatar and its active diplomacy to resolve conflicts and settle disputes .. He said: “There is a diplomatic work that is taking place here that people may not see, through which Qatar is making its endeavors to help the conflicting parties to communicate and dialogue, which contributes to making the world a better place.”
Mr. Michael Bloomberg noted the partnership between the State of Qatar and the Bloomberg Media Group in organizing the Qatar Economic Forum, which brings this year about 2500 participants from different countries around the world.
He pointed out that the forum is holding at a time when the world is witnessing economic turmoil and lack of stability that leads to fluctuations in the markets, as well as the repercussions of the global trade war and lack of certainty, in addition to continuous military conflicts and the repercussions of the climate crisis that increase its cost daily.
The Qatar Economic Forum, in cooperation with Bloomberg, which is held this year under the slogan “The Road to 2030: Transforming the Global Economy”, witnesses a wide global participation in the exchange of visions and ideas on the most prominent current economic issues at the global and regional levels, most notably, political geography, globalization and trade, energy security, technological developments, business and investment prospects, in addition to sport and entertainment.
