“Central”: The return of the service to the national system of the ATM and the points of sale (NAPS)

Qatar Central Bank announced yesterday that a technical defect was monitored in the national system of the ATM and the NAPS points, which temporarily affected the services of ATMs and the sales points using discount cards in the event that they are used through devices that are not affiliated with the card exporter for the card.
The “Central” stated in a statement that the technical teams concerned with the bank started taking all necessary measures to address the defect, as the service returned to work normally after a two -hour interruption.
Qatar Central Bank also stressed that all other services such as credit cards and service immediately were not affected by this imbalance as it is considered one of the alternative solutions to pay.
The Qatar Central Bank indicated that these measures come within the framework of continuous keenness to ensure the continuity and efficiency of banking services in the State of Qatar, in a way that meets the needs of customers and guarantees the quality of financial operations without interruption.
