Iron Lynx Team Qatar claimed a huge victory in the Goodyear 4 Hours Silverstone, round five of the 2026 ELMS European Le Mans Series, after taking first place in the LMGT3 class at the wheel of a Mercedes-AMG.
The team, supported by the Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation, succeeded in achieving victory with its special lineup for the Silverstone race, which included Qatari Abdullah Al-Khelaifi, Julian Hanses, and Ralph Aaron, providing a strong and consistent performance throughout the four-hour race.
The weekend got off to a perfect start when Abdullah Al-Khelaifi claimed pole position in the LMGT3 category the day before yesterday, recording a time of 2:00.011 minutes. It was Abdullah’s third pole position in the LMGT3 class during the 2026 ELMS season.
Starting at the front of the LMGT3 standings, Team Qatar maintained its strong pace throughout the race to claim its first ELMS victory of the 2026 season.
After winning at Silverstone and adding the additional championship point earned for pole position, the Qatar team rose to the top of the LMGT3 championship standings with 73 points, before the final round of the season.
