“Cyber ​​Security” organizes a workshop to introduce the specializations of the Information Security Department

Yesterday, the National Cyber ​​Security Agency organized a workshop entitled “The Specializations and the Operating Form for the Department of Information Security” in the presence of representatives of all government agencies and many private institutions in the country.
This workshop comes in line with the circular issued by the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau regarding the competencies of the Information Security Department, and in the interest of the National Cyber ​​Security Agency to enhance and unify efforts in this field to introduce the specializations and employment models for the Information Security Department in government agencies, where the workshop aims to enhance awareness of best practices and develop effective strategies to ensure the protection and security of information in different parties.
On this occasion, Mr. Khaled Al -Nasr, Assistant Director of Information Security Department at the National Cyber ​​Security Agency, said that the workshop and operational model for the Information Security Department gathered both officials in government and private agencies, with experts, under the umbrella of a joint national goal, which is to enhance cybersecurity and establish departments to secure infrastructure in government agencies and protect them from cyber attacks.
He added, “This workshop comes within the framework of the National Security Strategy Initiatives 2024-2030, which seeks to raise the level of cybersecurity in the government and private sectors, by establishing specialized, independent and effective departments for cybersecurity, which enhances the progress in achieving the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.”
During a visual presentation, the National Cyber ​​Security Agency reviewed an integrated model for the Department of Information Security and the departments it contains, the goals of management and departments, as well as the tasks assigned to it and the rapid response methods of cyber accidents in the region.
The workshop included a set of presentations that reviewed the experiences of a number of institutions, as Qatar Central Bank made an important offer, and the Ministry of Finance presented its experience in establishing the Information Security Department, while private bodies made offers on employment models for the Information Security Department and its role in achieving the strategic goals of the entity.
