Czech Linda Noskova won the Monterrey Mexican Open 250-point women’s tennis title after defeating New Zealand’s Lulu Sun in the final match in two sets to none (7/6 and 6/4).

With this win, Noskova, ranked sixth, took revenge on Lulu Sun, whom she had lost to in two straight sets in the first round of the Cincinnati American Championship last week.

The Czech will begin her journey in the US Open, the fourth of the four Grand Slam tournaments, which will start tomorrow, Monday, by facing the Kazakh Yulia Putintseva.

For her part, Lulu Sun, who missed the chance to win the first title in her professional career, will begin her journey in the US Championship by facing Italian Lucia Bronzetti.
