The organizing committee of the Doha International Music and Walking Festival (Doha Tattoo) announced the details of the first edition of the festival, which is being held under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), during the period from 16 to 20 December 2025 in Katara.
The festival is a unique international event of its kind in the region, as it combines musical discipline and creativity, and hosts an elite group of prestigious bands from seven countries: the United Kingdom, the United States of America, the Republic of Turkey, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Sultanate of Oman, Kazakhstan, in addition to the State of Qatar.
The list of participants includes the Irish Guards Band, the British Royal Air Force Band, the US Air Force Honor Guard, the Turkish Ottoman Muhtar Band, the Jordanian Armed Forces Band, the Omani Royal Guard Band, and the Kazakh Ministry of Defense Central Band.
The events will also witness distinguished Qatari participation from bands affiliated with the Ministries of Defense and Interior, the Amiri Guard, and the Ministry of Culture, in addition to the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra.
During a press conference held in Katara Cultural Village, His Excellency Major General Dr. Abdullah Yousef Al-Mal, Legal Advisor to His Excellency the Minister of Interior, General Supervisor of the Police Academy, and Chairman of the Organizing Committee, said: “The State of Qatar’s hosting of this event for the first time in the region is a consolidation of Doha’s role as a platform for cultural and artistic exchange, where music and discipline intersect in a civilized scene that reflects our national values and our openness to the world.
Engineer Abdulaziz Ali Al-Mawlawi, CEO of Visit Qatar and Vice Chairman of the Festival Organizing Committee, said: “The Doha International Music and Pedestrian Festival embodies a living model of the cultural and tourism vision of the State of Qatar, which seeks, through its global activities, to build bridges of communication between peoples through art and music. This event is not limited to musical performances, but represents an artistic and humanitarian experience that reflects the spirit of Doha as a capital of creativity, openness and cultural convergence, and enhances its position as a vibrant destination that hosts international events throughout the year.”
For his part, Colonel Dr. Fahd Saeed Al-Subaie, Vice President of the Police Academy, Director of the Police College, and Chairman of the Military Parade Committee of the Doha International Music and Infantry Festival, revealed the details of the festival’s program, saying: “Over five days, the public will enjoy a series of dazzling performances that mix art and international music, with the participation of prestigious bands as well as national bands from the Ministries of Defence, Interior, the Emiri Guard, and the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya). This version is distinguished by its special character, as it combines international performances with authentic Qatari heritage performances, such as the Ardha.
The organizing committee announced that tickets for the festival have become available to the public via the website https://tickets.virginmegastore.me/qa/dohatatoo, where they were offered at nominal prices to ensure everyone’s participation in this global event. Tickets are available in three categories: 15 riyals, 30 riyals, and 100 riyals.
The main partners of the festival were also announced, led by Qatar Airways as the platinum partner, and Katara Hospitality, Vodafone Qatar, Qatar Insurance Company, and Seashore Group as strategic partners.
