Doha Bank is a sponsor of Qatar ExxonMobil Tennis Championships

The Qatar Tennis Federation announced the signing of an agreement with Doha Bank to become one of the official sponsors of the Qatar ExxonMobil Open 2025 Men’s Tennis Championship in the 500 points category over a period of three years.
This partnership is the first of its kind between the Qatar Tennis Federation and Doha Bank, which reflects the bank’s commitment to supporting sports and actively participating in organizing major events held in the State of Qatar.
The agreement was signed by Tariq Zainal, Secretary General of the Qatar Tennis, Squash, Padel and Badminton Federation, and by Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Fahad bin Faisal Al Thani, CEO of Doha Bank Group, in the presence of representatives from the Federation and Doha Bank.
In his statement on the sidelines of the signing ceremony, Mr. Tariq Zainal, Secretary General of the Qatar Tennis, Squash, Padel and Badminton Federation, stressed the importance of this partnership, which contributes to enhancing the tournament’s position globally and continuing the success it has achieved over the past years.
He said in this context: “We are very happy with this agreement, which will be the starting point for a fruitful and long-term cooperation with Doha Bank, and we are confident that it will enhance the success of this prestigious tournament, which is considered one of the most prominent sporting events in the region and the world.
He added that this cooperation reflects Doha Bank’s social responsibility and its keenness to support sports in Qatar, empower talent, and contribute to achieving sustainable development in all fields.
For his part, Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Fahd bin Faisal Al Thani, CEO of Doha Bank Group, said: “We at Doha Bank are proud to partner with the Qatar Tennis Federation to support sports and athletes in Qatar. The Qatar ExxonMobil Men’s Tennis Championship is one of the major tournaments in the global tennis calendar, attracting the best players from all over the world and providing an ideal platform to interact and compete at the highest level.
The Qatar ExxonMobil Men’s Tennis Championship witnessed significant development this year after it was upgraded from the 250 points category to the 500 points category within the Association of Professional Tennis Players (ATP) rankings, 32 years after the start of this sporting event in Qatar.
This upgrade is expected to increase the level of competition in the 2025 edition, amid great aspirations to achieve more successes in this major sporting event.
It is noteworthy that this agreement is an additional step towards enhancing cooperation between the sports and financial sectors in Qatar, in line with the country’s leadership in the field of hosting international sporting events.
