In conjunction with the holiday and travel season, Qatar Rail invited the public to use the Doha Metro network to reach the airport via Hamad International Airport Station on the Red Line.
During a field tour of a number of Doha Metro stations, Al-Arab monitored the influx of passengers across its three lines, “Red, Green, and Gold,” which now provide a smooth and safe transportation experience for the country’s residents and visitors throughout the year, especially during special occasions and holidays, away from the traffic congestion that usually occurs. Al-Arab also noted the intensive efforts being made by customer service employees in the Doha Metro and Lusail Tram station network during the current period, in addition to the availability of instructions and directions inside the trains and at the stations, to guide passengers to reach their destinations easily and smoothly.
A number of Doha Metro riders told Al-Arab that the metro has become a major means of transportation for residents compared to other means of transportation, and they expressed their great satisfaction with using the metro, which allowed them to move and reach places of events and celebrations easily and in record time, especially with the ticket price that suits various segments of society.
Quality of services
Metro pioneers stressed that the large influx of citizens and residents witnessed by the stations reflects the quality of services of the metro and tram networks, and that this qualitative shift in transportation movement confirms the state’s trends in achieving development and improving the living lives of residents by providing integrated infrastructure, as movement across lines leads to… The metro and tram will reduce crowding in the streets, facilitate transportation, and preserve the environment, all of which are goals of Qatar Vision 2030.

Main stations
