The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology revealed the details of the opening version of the MWC25 conference, Doha, scheduled for November 25 and 26, under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, where the opening version of the conference attracts participants from more than 60 countries, along with more than 200 speakers representing leading institutions in the telecommunications and information technology sector. The conference also includes five main platforms to display the latest innovations, 11 summits discussing central issues in the sector, in addition to four main sessions offered by international leaders, which are based on the features of the future of artificial intelligence, fifth -generation networks (5G), digital economies, and knowledge -based innovation.

The Ministry stated at the press conference held yesterday that the MWC25 conference will deal with strategic issues such as cybersecurity, digital sovereignty, advanced fifth generation techniques, digital education and digital skills development. The Qatar pavilion will also be held as a unified national platform, the gathering of governmental, semi -governmental and private sector, and displays the state’s achievements in digital transformation.
His Excellency Mr. Mohammed bin Ali Al -Mannai, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, said that hosting the opening version of the MWC25 Conference Doha is an important station for the State of Qatar and the entire region. It reflects the commitment not only to pay the march of digital transformation within the framework of the digital agenda 2030 and the Qatar National Vision 2030, but also to consolidate the position of Doha as a global station for technology, policies and innovation. With the conference joining the leading global technological events schedule in Qatar, MWC25 Doha strengthens Qatar as a destination for technological dialogue, digital transformation in the region, and promoting international cooperation.
In turn, His Excellency Mrs. Reem Al -Mansoori said that hosting the conference confirms international confidence in the position of the State of Qatar as a pivotal center in the information and communications technology sector. She indicated that the conference represents a strategic platform aimed at gathering the most prominent leaders, innovators and investors from different countries of the world, with the aim of formulating common visions and leading solutions to advance the global digital economy. Her Excellency explained that this cooperation contributes to strengthening the position of the State of Qatar as a regional and global center for digital transformation, in line with the digital agenda 2030 and Qatar National Vision 2030.
She added: “The performance indicators in the telecommunications and information technology sector reflect the growing position of the State of Qatar on the global digital scene, where the sector’s revenues exceeded 11.4 billion Qatari riyals in 2024. The market is witnessing sustainable growth with expectations of the rise in the size of the database market to $ 259 million by 2029, and the cloud computing market to 303 million dollars by 2026. These indicators confirm that the State of Qatar owns An advanced digital environment that enhances its role as a regional and global center for digital innovation.
For his part, Mr. John Hoffman explained that the hosting of the State of Qatar for this global event is a clear evidence of its growing role in supporting digital innovation at the regional and international levels, and embodying its ambitious vision towards building an advanced knowledge economy, and said: “The MWC25 Doha conference constitutes a strategic bridge linking the Middle East and the world, and embodies the commitment of the International Association of mobile networks (GSMA) Enabling societies through technology, and strengthening partnerships to build a more communicable and innovative future. ”
The Expo Doha Conference for Smart Cities, in its fourth version, is a major station within the conference, organized by Vera de Barcelona, ​​to focus on reviewing the latest innovations in urban transformation and exploring smart solutions to the challenges of cities in the areas of sustainability, transportation, energy and urban administration. The conference also witnesses the hosting of the GSMA program for the leaders of the digital technology sector, which starts for the first time in the Middle East and North Africa, to form a platform that brings together senior actors in the technology sector. The program will include 25 high -level meetings and round tables to enhance dialogue and cooperation between the leaders of the sector.
The conference also hosts the GSMA Ministerial Program, one of the most prominent platforms for dialogue and digital policies. The Doha version will witness a wide participation of ministers, heads of telecommunications organizing bodies and heads of international organizations, with the confirmation of the participation of approximately 30 global delegations so far, and the program includes open and closed sessions, major letters, discussion sessions, bilateral meetings, in addition to private communication networks and closed round tables, in a way that enhances the exchange of visions between major decision -makers in the world.
The press conference revealed the most prominent features of the exhibition accompanying the MWC25 Doha conference, where it has been confirmed so far 150 exhibitors, with the expectation that the number will exceed 200 exhibitors at the opening, and the list of confirmed companies includes Cisco, Del, Google Claude, Hollett Bakard Enterprise, Huawei, Immunus, Microsoft, Nokia, Irid, Price Water Hus. Coppers, Qatar University, Vyon, Vodafone, ZEE, and feature.
On the sidelines of the press conference, a number of memoranda of understanding were signed between the International Mobile Networks Association (GSMA) and a number of national institutions, which included the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, Qatar University, the Media City, and I want and Vodafone.
