The German Foundation, Al Ain, said that Al Ain is so sensitive that the entry of a small eyelash into the eye causes a severe inconvenience, noting that it is increasingly worrying when an eye wound or a large foreign body enters it – for example – while doing housework or gardening.
The Foundation explained that if the eye is irritated due to the entry of a foreign object in it, such as insects or dust particles, the strange body should be removed from the edge of the eyelid with well washed fingers or a clean piece of cotton.
Alternatively, you can accelerate the process of naturally output the body by rinsing the eye with clean water or an eye wash solution.
In the case of acute or pointed exotic objects such as glass or metal fragments, the eye should be avoided, avoid rubbing them and asking for immediate medical care.
Medical advice must also be requested in the following cases:
- If there is no visible foreign body or disappeared, but the eye is frustrated, red or has persistent pain.
- In the event of suffering from visual disorders or allergies to light more than usual.
- In the event that the eye is infected with a fungal infection in the cornea by touching the eye to the parts of the plants, for example, gardening works.
- In the case of infected infection, this means that a strange body has penetrated the cornea. This body may be a metallic body income during the hole, for example, and is no longer visible from the outside.
