Fortaleza temporarily topped the Brazilian Football League after defeating host Bragantino (2/1) today in the twenty-third round of the competition.
Tomas Pochettino put Fortaleza ahead in the 26th minute, Lincoln equalised for Bragantino from a penalty kick in the 38th minute, before Bruno Lopes scored the winning goal for Fortaleza in the 90th minute of the match.
With this result, Fortaleza raised its score to 45 points at the top, four points ahead of its closest competitor, Flamengo, while Bragantino’s score stopped at 27 points in eleventh place.
In the remaining matches, Bahia defeated its host Gremio (2/0), while Atletico Mineiro tied with Cuiaba (1/1) and Fluminense tied with Corinthians, goalless.
